Philip is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counseling who provides counseling and therapy for individuals, couples, and families. Philip was drawn to counseling out of a desire to help others and a recognition that God had gifted him with certain skills and personality traits that is well-suited to working with others. He holds a conviction that each person has intrinsic worth and value because they are made in God’s image. He recognizes that life can be challenging and painful at times but believes that each person possesses the strength and capacity to overcome these challenges through healthy, supportive relationships and a willingness to face the trials of life head on. Philip enjoys interacting with the unique and diverse group of individuals who walk into his office, and he appreciates the distinct opportunity he has to develop genuine, long-lasting relationships with his clients. It is his hope that, after working with him, each and every client knows that they are important and special, and that they leave his care with an increased understanding of their patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving, a deeper sense of personal identity, and a confidence that they possess the skills, personality, and character to face life’s challenges with grace and strength, to develop and maintain healthy relationships, and to become who they were created to be. He graduated from Northwestern College (MN) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and from Liberty University with a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Trained to work with individuals, couples, and families, he enjoys the different challenges that each provides. He has experience in both residential and outpatient settings and has worked with clients of diverse ages and backgrounds. Philip is also trained in EMDR Level 2.
