Life is an unending ocean of transition, challenge, and opportunity. You are likely here because you are seeking skilled, reliable support to help you navigate the ever-changing tides. With warmth, patience, and a measure of humor, I provide a structure that sets the conditions needed for meaningful exploration of your inner experience as well as how you relate to others and the outer world--whether in individual, couples, family work, or in any important relationships. I support you in developing concrete practical skills to better respond to the complex challenges relationships in life present. You will learn to better know, understand, and accept more of yourself, your partner, your family member, as you discover and shape the fuller version of you wanting to emerge. I draw on many years of study and practice of somatic (body-centered/mind-body) therapy approaches, with my work with Stanley Keleman / Formative Psychology being a central influence. I have extensive training in adolescent and family development, as well as in Strategic and Structural Family therapy, combined with many years of experience as a certified Multi Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) therapist, supervisor, & trainer during my 15 years of providing services in various community based non-profit and county government organization health settings. I also have extensive training and experience in the Systems Centered Therapy (SCT) approach and continue to be an active member of an ongoing advanced SCT training group, in addition to my ongoing participation in other SCT consultation and training contexts. Fundamentally, I support individual, couples, family, and other clients, with generating & integrating unique experiences that offer more meaning, satisfaction, and choice. It takes courage to reach out and step into the unfamiliar, yet doing so opens a world of possibilities. Whether you are in the midst of a crisis, or at a point in which you simply want to begin to take more charge of your life, your relationships, your family situation, I invite you to contact me for a free consultation to discuss if working together would be helpful.
