Introduction

Congratulations on looking for help. You are not alone. Life is full of transitions. I provide a safe and validating space for you to get connected to what you really want and need, figure out what's getting in the way, and make the changes necessary to get the life you want. Your goals are my goals. I love working with people in different stages of life! I've helped young people get back from a gap year, get that first job, talk to a professor, learn to say no and/or ask for what they want or have a difficult heart-to-heart with an important person. We've worked on social anxiety, identifying their values and moving through break-ups and much more. I've helped people far along in their professional lives to take a step back and look at an issue or situation. We've explored what patterns or beliefs they may have that are impacting their lives. I hold space and safety for people going through the painful, confusing, moments that make up a full life. My clients and friends describe me as a good mix of being direct and kind. I offer a balance of validation, acceptance & problem solving. I usually try to bring in some humor, too, because historically, humor has helped me and others to accept where we are non-judgmentally and take the next move. I have specialized training and years of experience in evidence-based therapies such as DBT and RO DBT, though I often pull from different modalities to treat anxiety, perfectionism, negative self talk, life transitions, mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, interpersonal skills, increasing flexibility, openness, connection and belonging. I am intensively trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and RO (Radically Open) DBT. I currently teach weekly DBT classes. I do not take insurance. I provide a limited amount of sliding-scale spots. Out-of-Network/Private Pay
