I’m Rachael Marble Leary, LPC, CADC II, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, self-worth, identity development, and recovery support. My approach honors the complexity of each person’s lived experience and supports movement toward greater emotional flexibility, resilience, and values-aligned living. I show up as a real person in the room—honest, grounded, and human. I don’t pretend to have all the answers, and I don’t believe therapy has to be sterile to be effective. That might mean using real-life examples, plainspoken language (yes, sometimes with a little swearing), or acknowledging the messy, nonlinear nature of change. When therapeutically appropriate, I may draw on my own lived experience—not to shift focus, but to foster connection, reduce shame, or model self-compassion. Self-disclosure is used thoughtfully and sparingly, and only when it supports the work we’re doing together. Your story, needs, and goals remain at the center of the process. Whether we meet in the office, outdoors, or over secure telehealth, I strive to co-create a space that feels safe enough to be honest, flexible enough to adapt to your pace, and real enough to hold both the hard stuff and your sense of humor. Therapeutic Philosophy I believe healing happens through both self-understanding and nervous system regulation. Therapy is a space to explore patterns, shift inner narratives, and develop tools that support meaningful change. My work is rooted in curiosity, respect, and the belief that you are the expert in your own experience. Modalities and Approach I use an integrative, evidence-informed approach that may include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Motivational Interviewing (MI) Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed parts work Somatic and nervous system-based strategies Solution-Focused Therapy Mindfulness and self-compassion practices My work is informed by polyvagal theory, neuroscience, and trauma science. All interventions are adapted to your goals, pace, and preferences. Mind-Body Integration & Optional Eastern-Inspired Practices When relevant and welcomed by the individual, I may integrate mindfulness-based practices, somatic awareness, and principles from yoga philosophy or Buddhist-informed psychology. These practices are always offered in a secular, non-prescriptive way and support grounded presence, emotional regulation, and personal insight. Session Options Therapy is available in person, via secure telehealth, or outdoors (e.g., local park or trail) when clinically appropriate. All formats uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and informed consent. Check out the LOCATIONS tab for more details. Psychedelic Integration Support While I do not provide or administer substances, I offer therapeutic support for individuals exploring the integration of non-ordinary states of consciousness, including those related to psychedelic-assisted therapies. This work is grounded in harm reduction, safety, and intention-based processing.
