Introduction

Rachael G. Smith, LCAS, LCMHC, PSS, CCS I hold a bachelor’s degree in Family and Community Services, with a minor in Speech and Hearing Sciences from East Carolina University (2012), and a master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University (2015). Since then, I have been immersed in the counseling field, working with diverse populations to foster growth and healing. I am a licensed clinical addictions specialist (LCAS), licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC), certified peer support specialist (PSS), and a certified clinical supervisor (CCS). My approach focuses on empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals and make meaningful changes in their lives. To better serve my clients, I offer telehealth services through the Simple Practice app, allowing me to meet you where you are and provide flexible support tailored to your unique needs. As an outgoing and compassionate therapist, I am dedicated to fostering a warm and welcoming space for my clients. I believe that everyone deserves to be heard and understood, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment. My approachable demeanor encourages open conversations, allowing us to explore your thoughts and feelings comfortably. I am here to support you with empathy and understanding no matter the struggles that you may currently be facing. As a therapist, I am dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for my clients. I believe in the power of connection and understanding, and I strive to help individuals navigate their unique challenges with compassion and insight. My approach combines talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution focused, and person centered tailored to meet the needs of each client. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, transitions, stress and/or relationship challenges, I am here to listen and guide you on your journey towards healing and personal growth. Together, we can explore your thoughts and feelings, uncover patterns, and develop strategies to enhance your well-being. I value the importance of collaboration and will work with you to set meaningful goals. In my practice, I am committed to empathy, respect, and integrity. I invite you to take the first step towards positive change and look forward to supporting you on your path. I value the unique experiences each person brings to therapy, and together, we will work to uncover insights and develop strategies that resonate with you. My goal is to empower you on your journey toward healing and growth, and I genuinely look forward to getting to know you. If you're ready to take that first step, I invite you to reach out and start our conversation. Feel free to reach out to schedule a session or ask any questions.
