Introduction

Reaching out for support can be the first step to making a positive change in your life. Past trauma, current life stressors, social climate, and existential burdens can all impact our authenticity and ability to engage with life in a meaningful way. Therapy is a collaborative journey to identify and relieve emotional distress through holistic consideration, strategic problem-solving, and strength-based actions. Your experience is unique, and I hope to create a safe space for you to share with me your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that cause pain and concern in your life. I am a trauma-focused therapist, which means that I use respect, empathy, and compassion in all aspects of the therapeutic process. I assess situations through a psychodynamic and attachment perspective, where I believe your childhood experiences and past relationships may have influenced your present way of being. In therapy, you will find me to be engaged, thoughtful, and creative while using gentle motivation and encouragement to support a positive outcome. I am a Massachusetts fully licensed clinical mental health counselor (LMHC) who is also accredited in expressive arts therapy (EAT) which utilizes talk therapy, art therapy, play therapy, sand tray therapy, music therapy, drama therapy, and poetry/journal therapy. I am a clinical trauma professional (CCTP-II), and I am further certified in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), meditation and mindfulness, and animal-assisted therapy (AAT). The type of therapy that may work best for you will depend on your preference and presenting symptoms, with your agreement, I will use my experience to tailor a treatment plan for your individual needs. I have over 12 years of experience working to support people through life crises, where my involvement has helped me gain an understanding of a multitude of diagnoses, like anxiety, panic disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), reactive attachment disorder (RAD), adjustment disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), borderline personality disorder (BPD), and grief. I work with most diagnoses and specialize in treatments that help those who have experienced trauma, including childhood abuse/neglect, traumatic life events, and violence. I support human rights including diversity, equity, and inclusion, and welcome all ages, cultures, ethnicities, abilities, genders, and sexualities.
