Rachel has extensive experience working with young adults and young professionals. She is passionate about working with recovering perfectionists experiencing burnout, faltering self-esteem, anxiety, body image concerns, eating disorders, and relationship difficulties. A past ballet dancer, Rachel has a particular interest in working with clients who grew up in the high-pressure environment often promoted through childhood athletics, dance, and performing. Rachel is empathetic, warm, action-oriented, and straightforward in her approach. She allows clients to determine the course of their healing. At the center of Rachel’s work with her clients is the importance of the mind/body connection to help clients regulate ones' nervous systems and live a more balanced life. In addition, Rachel works with her clients to explore their unconscious needs and desires. She helps them challenge negative thought patterns in order to foster self-awareness and create meaningful change. Rachel received her BS at Boston University and her MSW from Fordham University. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new neighborhoods and restaurants in New York City. She loves that the city allows everything to be at one’s fingertips, but as an act of self-care, she acknowledges the need to escape the city and see some greenery once in a while!
