Welcome! I deeply believe that no one should have to struggle alone. I’m so glad that you’re here, taking a step toward feeling better. I have over a 15 years of experience with children, teens, and families from diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. I started my career as a high school teacher, but seeing the large unmet need for mental health services in schools led me to social work. I'm committed to tailoring an individual approach that fits each client’s needs. My clinical experience includes trauma-informed treatments, play therapy, and animal assisted interventions. I’ve provided mental health services in elementary, middle, and high schools in Chicago and DC. My work with children and adolescents includes depression, anxiety, ADHD, executive functioning, emotion regulation, challenging behaviors, trauma, grief and loss, social skills, and stress management. However, I know that kids and families do best when the “grown ups” are healthy and taking care of themselves, and so I am equally dedicated to supporting adults in their mental health needs. I have provided adult therapy for issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, relationships, self-esteem, and trauma. I have graduate degrees in both teaching and social work. In my free time, I love walking my dog, Rogue, horseback riding, and convincing my family and friends to play board games with me. In-person sessions available starting September, 2022 in Chevy Chase, MD.
