Rachel currently offers EMDR Healing Intensives for who are looking to work on healing past wounds, better navigate present challenges, and accomplish future goals, with the ultimate goal of moving towards a more authentic version of you. EMDR Healing Intensives are for clients looking for an intensive experience that is effective towards long term transformational change. What if you took the very best, most helpful parts of each weekly therapy session and devoted an entire afternoon or weekend to them? EMDR Intensives combine the proven efficacy of EMDR Therapy in a concentrated format of 3 or more hours per day over 1-4 days. The extended session length allows for uninterrupted focus on your particular goals, without the interruption and time limits of the traditional weekly therapy model. While there is a larger upfront cost, the shorter duration of treatment over all can save money. Intensives provide an opportunity to feel better faster so that you can get back to life. EMDR Therapy taps into how the brain processes and stores information to help you move through life’s most difficult or traumatic experiences. It’s not just a technique— EMDR is a comprehensive approach to therapy. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is a highly researched and effective therapy model used to treat PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. Its 8-phase protocol helps you to identify how thoughts, feelings, and reactions may be connected to past formative experiences, and helps you to process through distressing or activating material using alternating eye movements, taps, vibrations (tappers) or sounds. It’s not just for trauma— EMDR can be helpful for a wide range of issues including: social anxiety, panic or fear around specific triggers, chronic illness or medical issues, performance anxiety (e.g. public speaking, sports/competitions), grief & loss, sexual assault, childhood trauma & abuse and much more. Rachel helps her clients to identify current emotional states which are often linked with relational trauma wounds. EMDR approaches are used to reprocess past and present memories, so that clients can better navigate the present. Maladaptive patterns and beliefs are uncovered, which block innovation, growth, and opportunity. Research on how we heal has recently revealed the model of weekly one-hour sessions may not be the most effective strategy for long term change. New research suggests that short, but intense, treatment may actually result in more gains. Intensives eliminate the need for months of living with trauma symptoms and the impacts they have on daily life and general wellbeing. Therapy goals can be achieved in a shorter period of time. **Structure of EMDR Healing Intensives: A combination of EMDR therapy, Somatic Psychotherapy, meditation, mindfulness, sound healing, yoga therapy, and aromatherapy practices and also offer additional tools of journaling will be utilized for further integration.
