Introduction

Rachel appreciates the opportunity to join people on their individual journeys to healing, always striving to provide a safe environment for self-exploration. Rachel graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her undergraduate degree is in Psychology from Columbus State University. Her counseling style is warm, genuine, and collaborative. For individuals, Rachel likes to incorporate principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients learn practical coping skills, while also delving into the past to find out how trauma or attachment-related issues might be interfering with current functioning. For couples, Rachel uses both the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Rachel also loves incorporating the Christian faith into her counseling practice, per the client’s request.
