Rachelle is currently certified as a Disaster Mental Health Counselor, PCIT-Iowa (attachment) therapist, MRT facilitator, and EMDR trained. She uses attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamics, DBT, Sand Tray, Gestalt intervention, and Motivational Interviewing techniques. Rachelle spent the past several years as an on-call Crisis Response Therapist and specializes in suicidality, homicidal ideations, self-harm, and chronic mental health symptomology. She incorporates an integrated style which brings together client consent, understanding, and her own desire to remain open to other worldviews. Rachelle respects the relationship between therapist and client as sacred, honoring her role as a keeper of secrets and privacy. She is humbled by the opportunity to hear client’s stories and to journey / partner together progressing towards healing. Rachelle recognizes and respects her client as “The Expert” of their own life and that they know “what’s best” for them.
