Introduction

I work with children, adolescents, adults and parents to navigate life's challenges. Using compassion, knowledge, and experience I build strong therapeutic relationships to promote your growth and to develop healthy coping skills. Utilizing evidence-based approaches, within a holistic approach, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support growth and flexibility. In addition, I am trained in Supportive Parenting Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). These approaches allow clients to develop healthy coping skills, expand their comfort areas, and strengthen their relationships. My expertise is in treating anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, OCD, selective mutism, neurodiversity, cognitive rigidity, emotional regulation, and learning differences. I am a neurodiversity-affirming therapist with understanding and respect of individual needs. I welcome those in the LGBTQIA+ community. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maryland Baltimore, and have more than 30 years of experience working in outpatient, inpatient, and school settings. My most recent experience was as a clinician with Alvord Baker and Associates for the past 5 years. My experience and knowledge of individual, family, and educational needs enables me to comprehensively treat my clients. I am licensed in Maryland. Outside of my work, I am a mother of two grown children, and love reading, traveling, and spending time with my dog.
