Introduction

Bring Your Whole Self to Therapy I am passionate about helping people love their authentic selves, find healthy connections, and realize they have more control in their lives. My clients describe me as calming & accepting which puts them at ease. They like that I'm real with them, not an unrelatable professional. They are free to cuss, cry, or be angry in therapy without being judged or self-conscious. I became a therapist because I have always enjoyed knowing others on a deeper level and supporting them through difficult times. I experienced growth and freedom through my own therapy journey and continue to work on my own mental health. This helps me support my client's in their healing journey. I work with teens and adults with relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, anger, difficult experiences, and overall life stresses. When I work with people, they set the pace. People whom I work with have often been in therapy before. They may have benefited from learning coping skills, realizing their thoughts aren’t always true and having someone listen as they vent. But it wasn’t enough. My clients often say they logically know something but feel totally differently. Or they have thoughts saying “I’m not good enough, I need to make others happy, I have to be perfect.” They might realize they have repeating patterns in their relationships, emotions, thoughts, or choices. These patterns can come from family dysfunction, what society or religion taught them, toxic relationships, or difficult experiences. Together we explore their past to get to the root of their beliefs & patterns. We work to shift negative beliefs and self talk, relationship dynamics, communication and automatic responses to create freedom & control so they can make changes in their lives. My approach to counseling is rooted in Adlerian Therapy which ties together family systems therapy, narrative therapy, & CBT. I holistically work with psychological, social, biological, and emotional needs. I work to understand your values, patterns, and world view.
