Welcome! Thank you so much for visiting my website. My name is Rebekah Lipsky, and I have been a licensed, practicing therapist for seven years. I am authentic, caring, compassionate and empathetic. I aim to see and understand you in the context of your own life, as everyone possess unique DNA, brain functioning and life experiences. Using an integrative, creative and unconditionally accepting therapeutic approach, I am here to help you recognize, unlock, and use your power to make positive changes in your life. While I support clients struggling with various mental health challenges, I primarily specialize in helping clients through major life transitions. Some examples of these transitions are breakups, friendship changes, shifts in family dynamics, career changes, starting and/or graduating college, moving to a new city, loss of a loved one, change in health and an adulthood diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD (I have many years of experience supporting clients who are neurodivergent). I strike a helpful balance of active listening and validating your emotions to help you process your experiences with challenging your thoughts and being action-oriented to help you move toward achieving your goals. I make sure to use evidence-based practices to guide the various interventions and techniques I choose to use to support you. Additionally, I understand that it can be difficult to talk about certain experiences, so I welcome the use of media (song, scene from a show, excerpt from a book, etc.) that might better help you convey what you are thinking, feeling and experiencing. I am based in New York City and see clients via teleleath in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Florida. I do not accept any form of insurance, and am an Out-of-Network provider. I encourage you to contact your insurance company to see if you are eligible for out-of-network benefits, as you may be able to be reimbursed for a portion of your session cost. I will send you a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
