As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, Rhapsody has dedicated over 25 years to helping individuals gain mental wellness. She earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at San Jose State University. Since then, she has worked in various settings including intensive outpatient treatment, short- and long-term residential programs and outpatient therapy while always with a focus on supporting adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. At the core of her practice is client-centered philosophy. Rhapsody believes that each person is the expert of their own life. She will explore what is not working and will help to identify new skills to enhance your mood, motivation, and thought patterns. Her aim is to create a safe space where you can express yourself freely, allowing us to delve into your unique experiences. As a social worker, she is interested in how you exist in your world. She will support you in examining not only your current symptoms but also your relationships with family, friends, partners, and colleagues. Your environment plays a significant role in your mental health, and you will work together, to consider how it impacts you. Rhapsody has worked extensively with adults who have experienced various forms of trauma, including physical, emotional, and sexual trauma. Her experience includes providing CPT treatment to Veterans dealing with military-related trauma, including military sexual trauma (MST) and combat experiences. Rhapsody sees herself as a personable therapist who meets you where you are.
