I am Richard (Rick) Casey (He/Him/His), and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and experienced psychotherapist. I received a bachelors degree in Psychology, and MSW from Southern Connecticut State University, where I am also currently pursuing my DSW. I am dedicated to helping individuals improve their mental health and emotional well-being. I aim to provide a warm and supportive space where you can explore your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors in a safe and confidential environment. My therapeutic approach is client-centered and evidence-based, drawing on a range of modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution Focused Therapy and more. I work collaboratively with you to develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to your specific needs and goals. Together, we explore the root causes of your challenges, identify patterns and behaviors that may be holding you back, and develop strategies to promote positive change and growth. I specialize in treating a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, and life transitions. I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and identities, and strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and heard. I believe that therapy can be a powerful tool for self-discovery and transformation, helping individuals cultivate greater self-awareness, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and build more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. If you're interested in learning more about my practice, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have and provide more information about my services.
