Rob Bumbaco is a licensed clinical social worker and certified mental coach. Rob earned his master’s degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh and his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Niagara University. In his career, Rob has worked as both a counselor and supervisor in programs that helped treat individuals who were dealing with substance abuse and mental health concerns. He has additional experience in men’s recovery related issues. Robert specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. In 2018, Rob co-founded The Better Institute, a private practice that offers counseling, coaching, and consulting services. Rob continues to work with adolescents and adults who are dealing with mental health and addiction related issues. In addition to his clinical background, Rob is former Division 1 athlete. Rob is the founder of Back in the Game, a sports performance program designed to help athletes develop the mental skills necessary to take their game to the next level. Rob identified six core mental skills that are critical to developing a mental edge and amplifying talent. He provides coaching sessions to teams and private lessons to individual athletes based on these core skills. Back in the Game harnesses game-changing expertise to help athletes out-perform the competition and build on success.
