Hello! I am so thrilled that you are here. Making change is difficult and I hope to help. Life can be a complex and sometimes overwhelming journey, filled with both triumphs and challenges. It's during these moments of struggle that we often find ourselves seeking guidance, support, and understanding. That's where I come in. My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and the belief that you are the expert of your own life. I am here to walk alongside you, offering a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In our sessions, I strive to create a warm and compassionate environment, one where you feel truly heard and validated. I aim to understand your unique perspective, tailoring our therapy to align with your individual needs and goals. We will collaborate as a team, working together to develop practical strategies and effective coping skills that empower you to make positive changes. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply seeking personal development, I am dedicated to supporting you every step of the way. Together, we will embark on a transformative journey towards greater self-awareness, resilience, and overall well-being. I have experience in mental health, substance abuse, and educational settings. I have practiced as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois since 2012. In education, I hold a "highly qualified teacher" designation and hold type 03 – teaching certification for grades K-9 and a type 73- school counseling certification. I work with children, adolescents, adults and family systems. My areas of expertise include treatment of addictions, depression, anxiety, insomnia, stress management, anger management, relationship difficulties, academic difficulties, and other unhelpful behavior patterns. I strive to respectfully work with you from a solution-focused perspective, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other skills training approaches.
