Introduction

Hello! I am Robert, a father of five, husband of one, and marriage and family therapist. I fell in love with the world of therapy because of the person of Jesus - he was a spiritual master who knew his place in the world, who he belonged to, and who had a handle on both human suffering and flourishing. Early on in my studies I knew I wanted to work with couples, as it seemed to me that the best outcomes happen when we get more people in the room. In light of this, I have advanced training in couple therapy (yes, we say "couple" instead of "couples" therapy in this field, and I still do not know why, but it's probably some obscure grammar rule). In addition to couples, I love to work with adults and teens. Check out my private practice website for more information about me and my specialties: vbcounseling.org I'm not sure why you're scrolling through these parts of the web, but I can tell you that I believe therapy is a powerful and effective way to transform brokenness into meaning and beauty.
