Introduction

Therapy is a support that can help with life and relationship challenges. The goal is to help people discover and draw on the rich internal resources they have but often aren't able to see or access. While working within this process, people may cultivate personal strengths, abilities, and positive habits, which they may not have been able to develop before. You may only seek out a mental health professional once in your life for a specific issue, or you may visit with a mental health professional on a regular basis to work with ongoing challenges. Each person’s goals and life experience is different. As a professional therapist, I have many possible tools, interventions, theories and ways of working to meet your unique ways of healing. Some of these choices include: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Art and Play therapy, Emotion Focused, Narrative Therapy, Thought Field Therapy (TFT) Theatre therapy, Sand Tray therapy. I also may draw on music and movement within the therapeutic process. I have certifications in both IFS and EMDR. I think working in connection with body awareness creates the most effective and lasting healing. The most important aspect of our prospective work together, will be that everything flows from your uniqueness and identity as an individual. You have a great deal of choice in the therapy/counseling process. I believe the therapeutic process works best, when it is a collaborative.
