As a therapist and someone who also values the guidance of a therapist, I believe deeply in the power of changing our thinking patterns to enhance our happiness and overall well-being. Since graduating from Columbia University in 1996, I have been dedicated to helping clients transform their lives by addressing the way they think, feel, and behave. I believe that the most important factor in successful therapy is the relationship between the therapist and the client. In my practice, I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and safe environment where clients feel supported and understood. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which emphasizes how our thoughts shape our emotions and behaviors. I also integrate techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to offer a comprehensive, balanced approach. I believe therapy should be time-limited and goal-oriented, and I work collaboratively with clients to change unhelpful thinking patterns, improve emotional regulation, and foster positive behavior changes. Once clients have developed the tools they need, I encourage them to take a break from therapy and return for periodic check-ins to refresh and maintain their progress. In our work together, you can expect to learn lasting skills that will help you shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. These tools will empower you to navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and confidence.
