I became a counselor years after I retired from the U.S. Army. It was a long road to get here but that path allowed me to gain great life experiences (positive and negative) and I learned from both. With my personal, academic, and professional knowledge, I believe I can help you find joy, peace, and harmony if you are willing to invest in your personal growth; this takes effort, you will get out of therapy what you put into it. Most of my experience has been in treating individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, relational conflict, communication problems, poor self-esteem, etc. I use different methods, depending on the problem. My philosophy is that to experience joy, peace, and harmony, one must at least attempt to live a balanced life (socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically), and during therapy you will have the opportunity to do the same if you wish. I enjoy helping others find balance in their lives. I enjoy spending time with family, especially my daughter and two grandchildren, playing with two rescued dogs and a cat. My hobbies consist of reading, dancing, drawing, and traveling. "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift and that's why it's called The Present." Author unk.
