Are you struggling emotionally during the process of trying to build your family? Has the experience of trying to get pregnant, stay pregnant, and become a parent been much harder or more complicated than you expected? This is so common, and so difficult to talk about. The grief, loss, frustration, anger, and deep sadness can be hard to navigate. I can help. Sometimes life is hard for reasons we can't identify, or we can identify but don't know how to change. If you are feeling anxious, depressed, or struggling to adjust to changes in your life, let's work together to find a way back to balance and peace. I specialize in working with people struggling with infertility, high risk pregnancy, pregnancy and infant loss, adjusting to parenthood, or building a life that looks different than you anticipated. I also work with adults who are feeling anxious or depressed, or who are adjusting to a new phase in life. Loss is often an unexpected event when working to build a family. The grief of losing a pregnancy or infant, at any gestation or age, can be overwhelming and invisible. Often people minimize the intense grief of this experience, instead of providing space and grace for the pain of loss. I have worked with all kinds of grief and loss, from early pregnancy to term loss, neonatal death, and perinatal palliative care. I am able to help you figure out what life will look like now, and provide a safe space to feel all of grief and learn where we will find peace. I provide a warm and supportive space to work through these challenges honestly, where we can confront how you are feeling and move towards feeling whole. Together we will work to build coping mechanisms and maintain healthy relationships, as well as finding joy again. I provide culturally affirming care, supportive of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients, and support all who are working to build families, both within and outside of cisgender heteronormative structures. Professional Experience: I have spent over 15 years working directly with people who have had their family building experience become much more complicated than they had imagined. This includes infertility, loss, high risk pregnancies, traumatic deliveries, NICU stays, and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. I have also worked with clients who are depressed, anxious, or working through life transitions (both planned and unexpected).
