Therapy is most meaningful when you have a clear understanding of the work being done, and can choose a specific approach that aligns with your values and goals. Since there are no one-size-fits-all solutions, our process will involve trying and tracking different approaches tailored to your individual needs, keeping the ones that help, and avoiding painful repetition of strategies that don't help. Together, we will build a process that works, and move at a mutually agreed upon pace and direction toward clarity, understanding, and change. My job is to help us pick strategies that are both effective and personally meaningful. I've seen that combination facilitate profound change in people of all ages and backgrounds, in settings including state prisons, outpatient rehabs, and Ivy League schools. Wherever you're at, know that change is possible, and that we'll figure out the process together. I'm a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), trained in EMDR, with a background in treatment of substance use disorders, recent and complex trauma, grief/loss, and exploration of identity and personal meaning. I'd love to learn about your goals, and talk through how we could pursue them together. Call or email any time.
