Introduction

RoyLynn started her career in healthcare 27 years ago with the US Air Force. Today, she holds her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner board certification (PMHNP-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Currently, RoyLynn is enrolled in a fellowship designed around functional and integrative psychiatric care as well as two programs specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy geared toward adolescents with anxiety and another for eating disorders in clients of all ages. She also teaches undergraduate nursing students at Oregon Health & Sciences University. RoyLynn’s passions in mental health are geared towards eating disorders and behavior change through psychotherapy. She focuses her care on clients aged 12 – 30, providing skills for disordered eating recovery as well as life skills that can be applied to many situations. She strives to offer care that is meaningful and individualized for each client by uniting functional and integrative psychiatric care with psychotherapy and medication management to create a safe space where young individuals can learn to navigate their mental health. Ultimately, she strives to empower young folks with the tools they need to thrive throughout life by utilizing behavior change, lifestyle management, psychoeducation and therapy in addition to medications when appropriate. That being said, for clients with an eating disorder there is no age limits. With experience in addressing anxiety, mood, eating, stress, and ADHD RoyLynn delivers personalized care that honors an individual's unique experiences and goals. Her approach blends evidence-based therapies with empathy and understanding, equipping clients with skills and resources for traversing the ups and downs of life. Services offered: - Diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions - Medication management - Functional & integrative psychiatry and labs - Mental health genetic testing - Individual cognitive behavioral therapy and supportive psychotherapy - Collaboration with primary care providers, specialists, and education partners - Eating disorder care for clients of ALL ages On a personal note, RoyLynn moved to the Rogue Valley in 2014 and has since found her forever home with the most awesome husband to ever roam the planet and their dogs Eddie Van Tailen and Abby. Her favorite ways to pass time include snuggling with her hubs and pups while watching street food videos, reading, quilting, puzzles, gardening, and being in nature.
