Welcome to North Star Therapy! Whether you are in search of support for a recent challenge that has cropped up in your life, or your struggles have been more ongoing, I am grateful our paths have intersected today. Part of being human is that we all experience challenges, suffering, and brokenness in our lives. It takes both courage and wisdom to reach out and share your journey with another traveler such as myself. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but please accept my warm invitation into a relationship based on trust and the inherit belief in your goodness. From my experience, people begin therapy keenly aware of their struggles and failings, but are often less attuned to their gifts. I seek every opportunity to discover and acknowledge the gifts that are present in each person I engage, honoring these strengths and using them in the process of healing. It is ongoing commitment to bring acceptance, understanding, open-mindedness, empathy, empowerment, and respect to the therapeutic relationship. I view the road to transformation and healing to be a collaborative process in which your personal knowledge and strengths will be used in conjunction with my clinical approach to discover a future filled with hope and possibilities. It would be my honor and privilege to begin this journey with you.
