Having faced adversity herself, with a mother diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Salina understands the complexities of mental health. She battled anxiety disorder for many years and is currently raising a son with Autism. These firsthand encounters have fueled her commitment to supporting and understanding those grappling with mental and behavioral health challenges. Salina took a bold step in materializing her calling by founding Matters of the Heart Christian Counseling Services. This endeavor is a testament to her unwavering dedication to providing counseling services tailored for individuals, caregivers, and families. The mission of Matters of the Heart is clear: to establish a safe and welcoming atmosphere where individuals can seek both spiritual and emotional guidance. Salina’s vision for Matters of the Heart is to be a beacon of hope, guiding people to the other side of adversity, aiding them in problem-solving, and instilling a sense of hope for the future that stems from their faith in Christ.
