I attended Salem College and earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and English. I have a Master's degree from Appalachian State University in Clinical Psychology and am a Licensed Psychological Associate with the North Carolina Psychology Board. I have 19 years of experience in the mental health field with a background in addiction, inpatient and outpatient group and individual therapy, psychological testing and assessment, forensic psychology with adolescents and adults, and specialize in the treatment of eating disorders. I am a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) and have completed coursework necessary to become a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist CEDS). Additionally, I am experienced in using Family-Based Treatment in the treatment of child and adolescent eating disorders. I have practiced yoga for the past 15 years and am a certified yoga instructor. I teach privately and in groups, and will work with you to develop an individualized yoga practice, incorporating elements of asana, pranayama, and meditation.
