Introduction

Hi, I’m Sam! I specialize in working with people who feel lost, have tried many different things, haven't gotten anywhere, and feel like they are the ones that are broken inside. I work with people who've gone through years of relational trauma who feel like their traumas aren't big enough to justify how they feel. Some of the things clients have seen me for are related to trauma/complex trauma, addiction, struggles as a first generation adult, difficulties with their family, and not knowing the why behind their behaviors and responses. I enjoy working with all adults and often see clients with BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ identities. In therapy with me, you can expect a warm and laid-back approach, but also someone who will call you on your BS (with all the love). You may also experience a new way to think about your trauma responses that aren't negative, but empowering and self-compassionate. We will get to know different parts of you, witness what these parts hold, and begin to heal. I use EMDR, harm-reduction, IFS/parts work, and holistic approaches. I believe therapy is inherently political. I'm committed to social justice, supporting the BIPOC community, LGBTQIA rights, pro-choice, and feminist values. Nothing is off-limits in our sessions, as everything is interconnected. Let's work together to get you where you want to be! “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself, just as I am, then I can change” - Carl Rogers
