Introduction

Samantha Burns is the owner of Clarity Minds Counseling, LLC. Samantha is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Higher Sights Counseling. Samantha was raised in New Hampshire, however recently moved to Colorado from South Carolina where she received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Samantha also received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Winthrop University in South Carolina. Samantha is also pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Northern Colorado. Samantha believes that empathy and genuineness is a crucial part of the counseling experience and uses these aspects as a guide for her counseling practice. Working with children, adolescents, and adults, she uses a variety of different therapeutic modalities based on the needs of the individual. Samantha also has experience working with individuals who may be experiencing troubles with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, grief, school difficulties and more. Aside from work, Samantha enjoys reading a good book, spending time with family and doing puzzles in her free time. She also continues her education through taking different trainings that provide a framework in her own professional development to help the individuals she works with. She believes that everyone deserves a therapist who will provide a calming, safe space for each individual and is so excited to be part of the team at Higher Sights!
