Introduction

I help older teens and adults who are struggling to be their authentic selves while undergoing major life changes (breakups, friendship issues, school/job transitions, family issues) and self esteem challenges. My clients struggle as you do. Despite being successful, hardworking, and seemingly happy, life behind the scenes is really hard for them. When they first come in, they feel exhausted from overthinking and trying so hard to seem like they have it all together. They feel like they need to have a clear direction of where their life is going right now. But they are terrified of going in the wrong direction, so they often freeze up when making decisions. They worry that they are not good enough and that at some point, people in their life (family, bosses, friends, partners) will catch on and drop them. They have FOMO, but are sometimes so full of self doubt that they avoid social interactions. They find themselves saying “yes” to people to avoid conflict, but then often feel used by others and mad at themselves for giving in. Their high anxiety and fear of failure often gets in the way of the life they want in so many ways. They aren’t the kind of confident and healthy person they want to be and see on their social media feeds. They feel like they’re trailing behind their friends. And their confidence in themselves and their future continues to fall. Before they came to see me, they were scared that they would seem crazy for worrying about these things. They felt that their concerns weren’t “important enough” for therapy. And they were pretty certain that it would be really hard to open up to someone about their biggest fears and deepest insecurities. Like my clients, you deserve to have confidence in yourself and have more clarity about who you are, what causes these feelings, and how to get what you want out of your life. Being successful at school/work, setting boundaries with others, and having more control over your thoughts is not out of your reach. If you want to be your best self and live up to your full potential, I’d love to help you get there. Set up a free consult call now. We can work on your goals together!
