Introduction

Sandra Lukashevich is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She received a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from North Park University. She works with adolescents, adults, seniors and families to provide counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, domestic violence, and other life challenges. Sandra is experienced with clients navigating gender and sexual identity questions individually or within the context of a relationship. Sandra is a dynamic, compassionate, and insightful therapist. She is able to quickly establish rapport with individuals, couples, and families and develop a specialized therapeutic approach unique to each client. As a Certified Domestic Violence Provider, Sandra has extensive experience working with relationship trauma and survivors of domestic violence. Her skills in these areas focus on empowering clients to prevail over the pain that has impacted their lives. Sandra’s work with couples incorporates validated intervention approaches, including the Gottman Method and Emotional Focused Therapy techniques, which enable the couple to uncover and address foundational challenges in their relationship. Sandra is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, which enables her to provide counseling and cognitive rehabilitation therapy to persons with a dementia diagnosis. She specializes in working with caregivers and families on this difficult journey. She is also a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider, allowing her to offer quality care in person, as well as through virtual therapy sessions.
