I am a licensed clinical psychologist with several years of experience working with individuals over telehealth. I’m passionate about helping you navigate life’s challenges, whether that’s managing anxiety or depression, adjusting to major life changes, or improving your communication and relationships. I aim to help you regain control of your life, find peace with your emotions, and build stronger, more fulfilling connections with others. I approach therapy in a warm and supportive way. I believe you are the expert on your life. I appreciate the strength and vulnerability it takes to start the therapy process and be open in session. I follow what is called an integrative or eclectic approach to therapy. This means I individualize your treatment based on your unique biological, social, and psychological factors by pulling from several psychological theories. I utilize evidence-based techniques primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I use a strengths-based approach to highlight what you’re doing well along with what you want to work on, and I use a systemic lens to explore how you and your environment are interacting. We’ll explore how the past and the present affect each other to create a brighter future, together. I view my role as a collaborator who is standing next to you on your journey of life. I do my best to meet you where you are on your journey, which can look like taking a more process-oriented approach one day or a more structured & skills-based approach another day. I firmly believe that knowledge is power, so I try to incorporate education on the brain and psychology into our work when appropriate. I’m very open to feedback on the therapeutic process to ensure we’re working together to meet your goals. I have a very nurturing personality and strive to imbue this in my clinical work. I try to be open and honest and create a safe space for you to reciprocate that. Being in therapy can be challenging so I try to emphasize strengths and use humor when appropriate. In my personal life, I love spending time with my loved ones, being outside in nature, listening to rock music, and tending to my very many houseplants!
