Life is constantly throwing new curveballs and challenges that often leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, both physically and mentally. Whether you are going through a life transition, dealing with deep-rooted issues or simply need a safe space to feel supported and heard, therapy can help. I look at each client as an individual and cater their therapy experience to their specific needs and goals. Therapy is a collaborative experience and by utilizing a strength-based, person centered approach, I strive to create a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can feel seen, heard and feel empowered. I have spent the last decade working in the social service field and have worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health organizations, emergency shelters, domestic violence spaces, and outpatient mental health settings. Therapy is not one size fits all, which is why I am trained in a wide variety of modalities, including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), mindfulness and somatic experiencing. My specialties include trauma, grief, anxiety and general mental health. I provide both individual psychotherapy and couples counseling in a virtual setting for people in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Finding the right therapist can be a daunting task, so please feel free to reach out to schedule a 15 minute free consultation to see if working with me is right for you.
