Therapy can be a powerful vehicle for transformation and is ultimately about self-care. For me, essential aspects of self-care include being outside and moving my body. If you wish, we can use the therapeutic qualities of nature and movement to enrich the counseling experience. Through compassionate conversation I guide clients to access their own inner strengths, resources, and wisdom to move--emotionally and physically--toward greater health and positive change. I specialize in Motivational Interviewing, a counseling style that supports people to make changes in order to bring their behaviors more in line with their values and goals, and to improve overall well-being. I help people learn skills, develop insight, and build confidence to more successfully navigate life's challenges and tap into more of life's joy. For the past 15 years I have worked across the US and internationally in outreach, community mental health, school, and private practice settings. Please reach out to learn more about my practice and if working--and perhaps walking--together could benefit you.
