Introduction

Hi, I'm Sarah. I consider myself a trauma therapist in the most expansive definition of that term. I believe living in this world can be meaningful, beautiful and also quite painful and so I strive to offer the most gentle trauma therapy I can by centering your needs in every moment. When we experience trauma or ongoing painful experiences, it sometimes teaches us to believe something limiting, negative and UNTRUE about ourselves. I want to find out what those beliefs are and what happened to convince you of them. And then we can work toward choosing what you believe, how you make meaning, so you can live your life closer to your true values. Maybe you can start to treat yourself with the kindness and compassion you currently reserve for others. I frequently use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), parts techniques and somatic techniques in this work.
