I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the State of Washington. Originally from the Midwest, I have lived in several countries around the world, and I currently call Redmond, Washington home. After working with college students for over ten years, I decided to pursue a counseling career having witnessed the impact of mental health challenges not only on individuals but also on families and communities. I received my BA from Loyola University Chicago and my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. I have experience working with children, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds who are navigating issues such as life transitions, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma and abuse, relationship issues, and low self-esteem. My approach is significantly informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and attachment science. I believe that you are the expert on your story and that building trust in the therapeutic relationship is paramount. As I seek to better understand your story, we will focus on emotion as the agent of change. Together we will work towards the growth and healing you desire. Life is hard, and at times we need an advocate on our side. I am passionate about helping others understand their stories, improve their relationships, and experience healing. I believe that no matter your life circumstances, there is always hope.
