Introduction

Its nice to virtually meet you! I'm Sarah. Since I can remember, I have been curious about and in awe of the human experience. It can be beautiful, joy-filled, challenging, confusing, simple, complex and sometimes downright painful. I feel passionate about seeing and being with you as you are while also serving as a support person to help you explore and navigate your life experiences and relationships. I have been told I am a heart centered, authentic, extremely present, and sometimes silly/goofy therapist that can be with you in the heavy stuff, call you out when you are stuck, and offer sincere compassion when you are struggling. I graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Individualized Studies degree in Psychology, Relationship Studies, and Communication and obtained a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (now Sophia University) in Palo Alto, California. I have over 15 years of experience working in various settings and am licensed as a marriage and family therapist in the state of Minnesota as well as a MFT board approved supervisor. I am also a certified Prepare Enrich premarital counselor. I use she/her/hers pronouns, am part of the LGBTQIA+ community and also identify as a highly sensitive person. I am social justice minded and committed to continuous growth and learning around my own biases. When not in the therapy office you may find me at an alternative healing, yoga, or dance class, hanging out with my two sweet and clever cats (Finn and Willow), spending time in nature, or taking an afternoon to let my creativity fly! I see clients at the following clinics: Private Pay Individual Practice - Sarah Mathews, LLC Insurance Group Practice - Nobility Wellness - https://www.nobilitywellness.com/ Also find other services that I provide at TheArtofLucidLiving.com
