Sarah is the founder and owner of The Corvus Center for Mental Health Services, PLLC. Sarah has specialized training in treating traumatic stress, severe emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, anxiety, and mood disorders. She is nationally certified in Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. Her passion is treating survivors of childhood sexual abuse, traumatic grief, and combat veterans. She also has training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to treat mood disorders, self injury, suicidal ideation and maladaptive coping skills. Sarah is a current member of a DBT consult team - a group of DBT clinicians that ensure high standard of treatment. Sarah completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington. She graduated from University of Southern California with a Master's in Social Work. While in graduate school, Sarah worked with a wide range of individuals and families with trauma, anxiety, depression and bipolar disorders in private practice. After graduate school, Sarah began working with clients age 4 through adulthood and received training in evidence-based practices; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Out of the office, Sarah enjoys time with her family in Fairfax County. She has been a military spouse for over 10 years and has three children. POPULATIONS SERVED: She sees adults ages 18 and over. Sarah works with children ages 4 through 17 for trauma therapy only.
