My practice focuses on helping my clients through the difficult process of learning to regulated emotions. I am grounded in the belief that all people are doing the best they can, and once they know better they will do better. I specialize in working with clients who feel out of control of their emotions and are seeking practical ways to gain control of their lives. Through my many years of working in academics and community mental health I developed expertise in the practice of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and I've run DBT programs for the last 12 years. I am also trained in providing therapy for women and families with perinatal mental health challenges. My personal experience during my postpartum period guided me to this specialty. I have advanced training and expertise in areas such as depression and anxiety during pregnancy and postpartum, pregnancy loss, and birth trauma. My office is a judgment free place where you are accepted just as you are. You have no expectations here other than to simply arrive.
