Introduction

I am a Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor in Connecticut. With over ten years experience that focuses on addiction, life transitions, anger management, and co-occurring disorder, such as PTSD, depression, and anxiety. These disorders can affect each other, making treatment more complex. I will work on integrating care to address both issues simultaneously. I am passionate about assisting individuals using substance/alcohol who struggle with maintaining abstinence and mindful everyone is at a different stage of change. I have a compelling interest on the impact of substance/alcohol abuse and the negative effects that lead to physical, social, and emotional harm causing strain on family and relationships. I focus on being present and working together as a team with the client as you learn how to utilize his/her strength to overcome and experience healthy living. I provide a non-judgmental, and relax atmosphere giving each client the dignity and respect they deserve. I believe in positive unconditional regard and recognize each person is unique and requires an individualized treatment plan. My approach is rooted in Motivational Interview Therapy (MI), an evidence approach that focuses on helping to motivate ambivalent clients to change. Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) which helps individuals to manage difficult emotions and anger management to reduce both emotional feelings and identifying triggers. . I will provide a safe and non-judgmental environment. I believe it's extremely important that you feel comfortable and connected with your therapist. I am here to work with to achieve your goal. I believe you can have "Dominion" over the addiction as we work together.
