Introduction

Sarita Colvin, a psycho-spiritual therapist with over 20 years of experience in the fields of mental and behavioral health. Ms. Colvin received her Master of Social Work (MSW) and Master of Public Health (MPH) degrees in 2010 from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. She is currently studying for a Doctorate of Social Work (DSW) at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, with interests in standardized mental health treatment practices for faith-based communities, best mental health practices for African-American Christian Women, and the early identification and prevention of trauma-related conditions. Ms. Colvin believes that we are all spiritual beings living in a natural world and every experience does not require a diagnosis. Each part of our being (Soul, Body, & Spirit) needs to be in divine order to become our best selves. Her approach is strength based, person centered, comfort driven, and hope focused.
