Introduction

Durkin Family Counseling (DFC) started in 2023, to give clients a welcoming and family feel to therapy. When clients enter the door of DFC, they will be approached with kindness, acceptance, and compassion. Our clients are often in the middle of a crisis, struggling to manage their relationships or feeling judged by their circumstances and delay seeking help. At DFC, we want to make sure the therapeutic process is as simple and relaxed as possible. We will always work with our clients to ensure we are meeting them where they are in their present circumstances. We offer a variety of therapeutic approaches including CBT, Christian based therapy, EMDR, and Prepare-Enrich. We have experience treating a variety of disorders including personality, mood, anxiety, and psychosis. We are educated on how to help our clients improve on a variety of topics including communication, boundaries, and marital conflict. As a family-owned practice, our goal is to nurture and work towards healing the family unit. We are currently only working with adults but that will change in the future as we continue to grow the different facets of DFC.
