My responsibility as your therapist is to create a space where you feel safe to challenge yourself. I pull from psychodynamic and narrative therapeutic theories. What that really means is that we will work together to understand your story, and together we can pull to the surface parts of yourself that need attention or that you have learned to hide and protect. Our work together can look like using a multitude of different interventions that aid in you understanding your processes. That may include writing, occasional homework, art exercises, as well as somatics. Therapy is a continuous process, and it is an act of caring for yourself, and for that I applaud you for embarking on this journey.
