Seth Yavit is an LPC who earned a Master’s Degree in Creative Art Therapy and Counseling from the College of New Rochelle. For more than 10 years, he has helped people find healing in schools, developmental centers, community outreach centers, and the psychiatric unit at GW Hospital. Seth has experience treating a wide range of diagnoses that include, but are not limited to: * Anxiety * Grief * Trauma and PTSD * Life Transitions * Sleeping/Eating/Bathing Issues (Activities of Daily Living) * Relationship, Marital, and Family Issues * Bipolar Disorder and Mania * Personality Disorders Seth uses a combination of Narrative therapy, Creative Art therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy to build a ‘whatever works’ therapy style that is tailored to the specific needs of each individual client. As Jung says, ‘each client has their own specific language’ – Seth considers finding each person’s language to be one of the most important goals in therapy. Seth spends his free time as a working artist, musician, and comedian and enjoys bringing aspects of his creativity to therapy sessions, especially comedy and the benefits of laughter.
