Why am I a therapist Growing up, I remember being passionate about supporting those around me. Whether that was through laughter, simply listening, or even advising friends and family. I hoped to continue to do this, and that was through becoming a therapist. My educational experiences further fueled this desire, as I learned that therapy is not always about having intense moments, but therapy is also about exploring the positive contributions within us. I find fulfillment in being able to provide a safe environment for others by maintaining an encouraging tone. I enjoy providing the space for others to explore how their life experiences have shaped them into the person they are in the present moment. I particularly enjoy supporting others through all ages of life to cope with anxiety, personal development, depression, and strained family dynamics. I look forward to working with you! My therapeutic style Therapy is a collaborative process that you and I embark on to encourage you to become the best, most fulfilled person you can be by identifying and achieving your goals. Therapy enables us to explore different aspects of your life and how those experiences have shaped you. Some of the interventions that I utilize include; CBT, Personal Centered, Motivational Interviewing techniques, DBT techniques, Mindfulness, Gottman Method, and many more depending on your needs individually, as a couple, or as a family. Overall, my therapeutic style focuses on improving self-esteem and confidence and accomplishing your therapeutic goals. My ultimate goal is to create the space for you to reach your full potential! Education & Experience I completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Childhood Education at The City College of New York, CUNY. Soon after, I moved on to complete my Master’s degree in Mental Counseling at The City College of New York, CUNY. Throughout my Master’s program, I attended psychotherapy-based lectures such as the Psychotherapy Symposium, which exposed me to many different counseling techniques. I also completed my internship requirements as a counseling intern at Family Services of Westchester. Through these experiences, I provided a variety of services to clients ranging from ages 4 to 70 years old, steaming from different cultural backgrounds. My experiences provided me with the tools to support and advocate for others going through various life stages.
