Introduction

Welcome to Shifa Therapy LLC, a space for healing. I'm Shalin (he/him), and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (NJ), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (NJ), and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. My goal as your therapist is for you to be seen and understood as you are. No code-switching necessary. Throughout the process, I will invite you with patience and compassion, going at your pace as you build new adaptations towards thriving. My practice serves and centers BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks located within New Jersey. I integrate Somatic Experiencing, parts work, narrative therapy, relational psychotherapy, and liberation-based approaches in the trauma-focused services that I provide. At this time, all sessions are 100% virtual.
