I am a Clinical Social Worker in the Puget Sound area of WA. I work with Adults 25+. Many of my clients come in to address childhood trauma, chronic illness/chronic pain, anxiety, depression, attachment issues. I am particularly passionate about serving veterans, women with fertility challenges, older adults and Black women. I also have advanced training in the areas of C-PTSD, PTSD, anxiety, OSDD, DID, depression, grief/loss. I am a certified EMDR therapist. Neglect, abuse and other unprocessed traumatic events can lead to maladaptive beliefs about oneself such as 'I am not safe', 'I am worthless', 'I don't deserve love'. These beliefs and the traumatic memories become stuck in the nervous system and prevents the natural healing process of our brain to occur. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) helps the brain process these memories, allowing natural healing to take place. I am also trained in AEDP, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Ecotherapy. My style is relational and empathic. When clients first start therapy, I focus on building rapport and nurturing the therapeutic relationship. I also ensure that my therapeutic style matches their needs. I received my MSW from Cleveland State University and my MNO from Case Western Reserve University. I have worked at Pacific Medical Centers (PacMed) as a psychotherapist where I provided long-term counseling services. Outside of private practice, my faith is an integral part of who I am and is the main identity I hold. I am an AVID Peloton-er and I love going hiking and occasionally backpacking with my husband, the love of my life. I primarily offer telehealth sessions. Ecotherapy sessions are held outdoors in a predetermined and agreed upon location.
