From our first phone call, my priority is building a genuine, safe, and unique relationship with you. I'm passionate about men's mental health, LGBTQ clients, and anyone who's ready to journey deep into the root of what brings them to counseling. I often work with anxiety, trauma, panic, OCD, relationship conflict, behavioral addiction, self-injury, loneliness, or depression. But before I see any of the issues on this list, I see you as a fellow human being. Our therapeutic relationship is at the core of every insight, tool, or change that might result from our work together. When someone meets you with complete acceptance, it is harder for shame, avoidance, or numbness to get in the way of what you value. My techniques guide you to accept and embrace the full range of emotions. Your distress is not a sign of weakness, stigma, or wrongdoing. Instead, through understanding yourself, you re-discover your own resilience. There is no wrong way for you to be in counseling. Though you may want to make changes to reach your goals, I am not judging you or wishing you were different than however you are right now. Whether it's your first or hundredth counseling session, I respect the courage it takes to reach out.
