Introduction

IWelcome—I’m glad you’re here. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from your sense of self, you’re not alone. Many of the clients I work with are navigating the long-term effects of trauma, often rooted in childhood experiences with emotionally immature, unavailable, or abusive caregivers. These early dynamics can leave lasting imprints—impacting your relationships, your self-worth, and your ability to feel safe in your own body. I specialize in helping adult children of emotionally immature parents, as well as individuals dealing with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum differences, borderline personality disorder, and those who have experienced domestic violence. Whether you're seeking to break toxic patterns, better understand your emotional world, or simply learn how to feel more grounded and at peace, I offer a warm, supportive space to do that work. My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed. I meet you where you are, and we move at your pace. My work is eclectic, drawing from evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, IFS, and somatic practices to help you gain insight and build tools for healing and resilience. I believe deeply in your inner strength and the capacity for growth—even when it feels out of reach. In addition to traditional talk therapy, I offer: 🌿 Hypnotherapy – to help access subconscious beliefs and gently reprocess stuck emotional patterns. 🌿 Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy – in supported, legal settings, to facilitate deep healing and expanded self-awareness. These approaches can be especially powerful for clients who feel like they’ve “tried everything” but still struggle to shift deeply rooted wounds or patterns. You don’t have to do this alone. Healing is not a straight line, and reaching out for support is a powerful first step. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or returning to therapy after some time, I’m here to walk alongside you—with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your story. When you’re ready, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can work toward the clarity, connection, and calm you deserve. Have you been feeling overwhelmed by concerns about our everchanging world? Would you like a safe space to process your concerns, and to share your feelings with other individuals who share similar concerns? I will be starting up an 8 week processing group to provide a safe, supportive environment to guide individuals struggling with anxiety and depression. This group will be a space to explore and process thoughts and feelings, will include guided meditation and calming strategies, as well as some resources provided outside of the group space. I invite you to contact me with any questions or if you are interested in joining this group! amazon.com/author/shannasavagelpc
